Basis System (BS)
The basis system contains the control cabinet, an industrial Pentium
PC with touch screen TFT display, 2GB or larger shockproof hard
disk, Ethernet interface and internal network interface, Windows
server operating system, 24V Power supply, battery backed-up power
supply (UPS), and advanced software with graphical user interface
for the touch screen.
The basis system is included in all Blueware installations.
Ink Stamp Hide Marking Unit (IS1H)
Hide marking stamps are produced with ink drops, which are shot
out of 7 nozzles, forming matrix shaped digits or characters. The
ink drops are applied to the backside of the hides. The main advantages
of this principle over other printing methods, such as thermo transfer,
are (a) lower cost, and (b) no mechanical force being applied to
the print head. This results in prolonged print head life, which
is especially useful at high feed rates. The ink stamp hide marking
unit includes: print head, ink tank with level sensor, air unit
with pressure regulator, set of tube connectors, printer electronics
with interface to the BlueWare system. A special version with two
print heads is available.
Double Ink Stamp Hide Marking Unit (IS2H)
This option is similar to IS1H, but it comes with two print heads.
Double heads are used to apply marks simultaneously to two halves
of the same hide after it is cut.
Local Protocol Printer (PALPRT)
This extension option enables the printing of pallet tickets right
at the machine. It consists of a serial interface RS422 or RS232
and the printing software. The actual printer can be supplied by
the customer in order to simplify maintenance. An inexpensive standard
printer is sufficient for pallet ticket printing.
Support for Hide Bisections (SIDE)
This option is used when hides are cut into halves on the machine.
Area is computed for both side, and grading criteria can be stored
and applied for each half.
Intranet Integration Module (INTRA)
The intranet module helps you saving time and paper. It feeds measurement
data and grading information into your corporate intranet or extranet
for viewing and evaluation. Because the intranet module is based
on standard world-wide-web technology, you can access quality control
information with any web browser from almost anywhere. Even worldwide
access via Internet and VPN (virtual private network) can be implemented
with relative ease if desired.
